2. The Hack is a section of the Málaga Festival (Spain) dedicated to emerging audiovisual creators. Twenty participants will be selected through the resolution of creative challenges to travel to the festival, where they will have the opportunity to engage and collaborate with co-producers and international funds, media and platforms, and other leaders in the Ibero-American audiovisual industry. 5. ‘ATLAS – create your dance trails’ is a modular training programme in the scope of ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival (Austria). The second staging of the WEW Heritage competition “Embracing our Cultural Heritage” was held at the Institute of Jamaica Lecture Hall, 28 February. Twelve primary schools from Downtown, Kingston were invited to challenge each other in both quiz (with questions focused on Jamaican history, culture and heritage) and creative (celebrating/recognizing a Jamaican woman under 50 years old who characterizes “Jamaicanism”) competitions.

Only four schools participated and Elletson Primary  emerged the champions winning the JNC-UNESCO trophy (in pic).

The function was carried live on Nationwide and JNC-UNESCO distributed its brochures and posted a number of its banners to ensure its visibility. As part of the promotion the JNC-UNESCO logo was affixed to the “We thank you for serving JCF” bumper stickers that was distributed on the day.
