Jamaica to participate online in 7^th Meeting of National Commissions worldwide, 22-25 February 2021

The virtual meeting will allow National Commissions to present their views and to discuss their role with regards to the proposals on the Draft Medium-Term Strategy 2022-2029 and the Programme and Budget 2022-2025 with a view to their adoption at the 41^st Session of the General Conference scheduled to be held in November 2021.

The Interregional Meeting will also offer a renewed opportunity for an exchange of experiences, which, we might hope, will serve a catalyst for closer cooperation between the National Commissions and also with the UNESCO Secretariat and other partners.

The 7^th Interregional Meeting of National Commission for UNESCO was initially scheduled to be held in Lugano, Switzerland in May 2020, but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
