Build Resilience of Caribbean SIDS to Disasters and Climate Change through Enhancing the Culture Sector’s Disaster Preparedness for Effective Response

The Jamaica National Commission for UNESCO has been contracted by the UNESCO Cluster Office for the Caribbean to facilitate the pilot initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport. The proposed duration of the project is five months commencing in August and ending in December 2021.
Jamaica are among four countries engaged to encourage culture and disaster actors to better integrate their work plans, build a network of technical persons, develop necessary strategies and action plans to ensure that the culture sector fully integrates disaster management in its planning and collaborate and cooperate moving forward.
