International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2021
International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (IDEVAW) and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence (GBV) is observed on November 25 – December 10 annually. 🟠UNESCO joins the 16-days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and will highlight Caribbean youth-led activism to promote gender equality.
During this time, we will feature contributions from youth activists who successfully graduated from the Caribbean Sheroes Summer School and Regional Training, which was organized in partnership with the Institute for Gender and Development Studies – – RCO UWI Jamaica

The observance of IDEVAW creates awareness on all forms of violence against women and girls and its impact on the country’s socio-economic development. It also pays historical patronage to women and girls who have suffered by the hands of violence.
