Dr Dameon Black appointed as chair of the Governing Board of UNESCO’s Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC), 2022-2024

Dr Dameon Black, Commissioner/Executive Director of the Jamaica Tertiary Education Commission.

Dr Black is Jamaica’s representative to this UNESCO Committee having been elected at the 41st General conference in 2021 on the recommendation of Minister Olivia Grange, Chairperson of the Jamaica National Commission for UNESCO and Minister with responsibility for UNESCO.

Jamaica’s Alternate to this Governing Board is Dr. Kasan Troupe, actg. CEO in the MOEY.
