JNC -UNESCO trophy presented to Ellerston Primary along with a set of books ” Water education for kids”
The second staging of the WEW Heritage competition “Embracing our Cultural Heritage” was held at the Institute of Jamaica Lecture Hall, 28 February. Twelve primary schools from Downtown, Kingston were invited to challenge each other in both quiz (with questions focused on Jamaican history, culture and heritage) and creative (celebrating/recognizing a Jamaican woman under 50 years old who characterizes “Jamaicanism”) competitions.
Only four schools participated and Elletson Primary emerged the champions winning the JNC-UNESCO trophy (in pic).
