Project Overview
Contemporary Masculinities is a UNESCO Participation Project project that was executed by the Institute of Gender and Development Studies Regional Office (UWI). The IGDS Dissemination workshop was held to present the preliminary findings of a pilot study which analysed political, economic, and socio-cultural impacts on Caribbean men. The purpose was to provide an in-depth understanding of the impact of crime on the lives of males within Jamaican communities through a pilot study entitled “Males, Crime and Community in Jamaica”.
