This project is twofold, addressing the empowerment of teenage mothers and the empowerment of young boys. The aim of phase one (1) is to equip 200 teenage mothers from low income communities with requisite skills. The objectives are: • To provide teenage mothers with the opportunity to develop soft skills to aid in their professional growth. • To equip teenage mothers with requisite skills and “certification” to become entrepreneurs and economically independent within Jamaica’s national development. The aim of phase two (2) to empower young boys in children's homes through improved literacy. The targeted homes are St Augustine Place of Safety, Mannings Home (Monroe College)/Sunbeans and Bethlehem College.
