The JFUCCA UNESCO Clubs project held its first activity ‘ Coordinators Training Workshop’ which was part of a UNESCO Participation project 'Engaging Youth in UNESCO Related Activities’. Participants from schools and facilities from most parishes of Jamaica spent 2 days (2324 November) in interactive sessions learning how to setup and manage their new UNESCO Clubs. The main presenter was Guy Djoken, USA UNESCO Clubs Federation, There were two youth presenters Tina Renier and Oshane Robinson who presented on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) and "Making it Personal: Cultural Interaction for Integration" respectively. Other presentations were: Growing greatness through volunteerism and service by Dr. Andre MacDonald, Our Digital World: Opportunities and Challenges by Mr. Don Dobson, Broadcom Senator Pearnel Charles Jr. , Chair of the Youth Advisory Committee, brought greetings on behalf of the government of Jamaica. Andrea Burbano-Fuertes, SHS Programme Specialist of the UNESCO Caribbean Office represented that office and brought greetings.
