Project Overview
To use the Performing Arts as an essential tool to facilitate the development of at-risk youth (in particular boys) in Parade Gardens and reduce involvement in gangs by providing positive out-of-school activities; To expose the participants to the impact of Gender-Based Violence in order to reduce the occurrence in their homes and the wider community.
Project Updates
The funding received from UNESCO of USD18,000 facillitated the purchase of musical instruments and audio equipment. YARD EMPIRE engaged participants and facilitators and sessions began in May 2023 at the Kingston and St.
UNESCO Participation Programme & “Performing Arts Intervention Programme to Empower At-Risk Youth” Project completed with “Changing the Score”. The concert was attended by 75 person which included dignitaries, specially invited guests and staff of JNC-UNESCO.
