12th Session of IGBC, 23 and 24 September 2021
During the present biennium, the International Bioethics Committee (IBC) has focused on two topics in particular: the principle of protection of future generations and the ethical issues of neurotechnology. Before entering their final revision phase, these two reports will be presented and examined by the IGBC during its 12th session. Comments and feedback will guide the IBC in its finalisation of the texts.
In addition to these activities, Gabriela Ramos, Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences, will inform IGBC about the latest developments and progress of the draft Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which will be submitted to UNESCO Member States for adoption at the General Conference in November.
